ReD4NE Inc. · Last updated 16 July 2026

ReD4NE Inc. (Responsible Energy Development for New England, "ReD4NE", "we", "us") is a not-for-profit incorporated association based in the New England region of New South Wales. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can access or correct it.

1. What we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us:

  • Declaration signatures: your full name, phone number, email address, home town and postcode.
  • Membership applications: your contact details and any information you include in your application.
  • Donations: your name and contact details. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and are never stored by us.
  • Correspondence: anything you send us by email or through our forms.

2. How we use your information

  • To record your support for the ReD4NE Declaration.
  • To process and manage membership applications, votes and meeting notices.
  • To receipt and acknowledge donations.
  • To send you campaign updates by email, only if you have ticked the box asking to receive them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
  • To respond to your enquiries.

Your name, home town and postcode may be included in a list of declaration signatories presented to developers, councils, members of parliament or government agencies to demonstrate community support. Your email address and phone number are never published or included in those lists.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only disclose it: (a) as described above for signatory lists; (b) to trusted service providers who help us operate, our email platform (Kit) and payment processor (Stripe), who may store data on servers located overseas, including the United States; or (c) where required by law. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the APPs.

4. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including password-protected systems and access limited to authorised committee members. We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then securely destroy or de-identify it.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use basic cookies and analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These do not identify you personally. Embedded third-party content (such as the NSW Government project map) is governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

6. Access, correction and deletion

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your signature from the declaration, or ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing info@red4ne.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually 30 days.

7. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at info@red4ne.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
